My Anywhere Working Tips
So writing an blog posted titled ‘My Anywhere Working Tips’ - I dont really feel old enough to be writing tips for people, however I thought I would share my opinions on how ‘anywhere working’ would benefit me and my company.
So I’m 18, and ive just started up my own company with my two friends, our company develops websites, Mobile apps and systems for companies, and commercial enterprises. Where as my two colleagues are the developers who work there wonders with code, its my job to travel to visit current clients, prospective clients as well as attend networking events all over the UK. - Which as a startup is rather expensive, but for the first few months It had to be done.
But all this traveling, and costs involved with it got me thinking. Does it really need to be done? Surely I can just have a meeting online? Well the answer to that is, No it doesn’t need to be done, and yes it can be done via online meetings.
Since I switched over the ‘join.me’ from LogMeIn I find my life being so much easier and Im more in-contact with my clients, Instead of having one meeting in London, then traveling to Manchester for a meeting the following day. I’m able to have both meetings, on the same day with zero travel involved and best of all, zero cost to me.
- However I still have to travel from time to time, but with traveling comes the limitations of battery life, most traveling days for me last for around 12 hours. Where as my current laptop lasts for 3-4 hours, which isn’t even close to what I need. - Luckily I have my mobile with me, which lasts for a around 8 after constant use all day. - So a combination of both of these allows me to get what I need to done.
So Anywhere working has been a godsend to me, saves both me and my company money and allows us to have more productive days without traveling the lenght and berth of the country!
